Broome, Western Australia.......Melbourne......Home!!!

Party Animals!
It's been some time since last being here but now I think that we're back on the road again!  The van was packed and locked as we headed to Broome Airport to fly home to Melbourne for Szymon and Mel's engagement party.  We were both excited to be flying home to see our kids and a few of our friends if only for a short time.
Party Boys!..and Monika

The engagement party was lovely especially to see them formalise their committment after 7 years together.  Speeches from Mel's dad, Daniel were great and witty recounting some of their earlier years, and catching up with some of their friends (aways back from Grade 1) was all so very special.

We met Monika and Matt's newest member of their family, Basil, the red Dachsund, brother now to Atlas, the little black Dachsund.  That was funny to watch them together.  We also caught up with Evie and little Nina, Szymon and Mel's puppies.  Boy did I have fun in Animal Kingdom.

Daniel stressed a bit hitting the road in Melbourne's traffic having been on the road to pass only small traffic on our journey.  A 48 hour trip home made it hard to get back to our swing and rythm.  I missed home, family, friends, the  knowingness of what was next I suppose.  The flight back to Broome was frought with some tears and angst but once landed back at the van unlocking the door and picking up where I had left put my anchor back.

My birthday treat we'd left until our last night in Broome after we'd flown back from Melbourne.  I wasn't tired at all ...for the Camel ride!  ......at sunset.  It was sensational loving every minute of it, including dinner, champagne and chocolate pudding for dessert!
